Can I use Perrin's Blend on large areas?

Perrin's Blend is a honey based ointment, making it a sticky paste so it is not easily spread over large areas, but a person can do so if he/she is determined to do so.  It is also burgundy in color due to the grape seed extract which means it can permanently stain clothes, bed linens, etc. so we recommend covering the area with a bandage if staining a fabric is a concern to you. 

 

Do I have to keep the lesion covered?

As mentioned above, Perrin's Blend is a sticky honey based ointment and burgundy in color due to the grape seed extract which means it will stain clothes.  Even though we have seen positive results with sporadic application, the best results come when the lesion is in constant contact the Perrin's Blend.  That also means leaving the bandage on during a bath, then not washing it off before reapplying.  Most of the time the lesion needs to be covered to prevent the Perrin's Blend from being rubbed off.  If the place is on your face (where there is less of a chance of the ointment being rubbed off) and you doesn't mind the appearance of the ointment then there may not be as much of a reason to keep the area covered, and a person can keep reapplying during the day. 

 

Why is Perrin's Blend so thick?

Perrin's Blend is a high concentration of antioxidants in a base of raw honey, and honey thickens naturally.  We could add more honey which would help with the thickness but that would weaken the formula, so we have chosen not to do this.  The ointment seems to work better when it is so thick it actually has to be pressed onto the area being treated.  Once it makes contact on the skin your body temperature will start to slightly melt the honey, making it softer.  A thicker product runs less, which helps it to stay in place until a bandage can be placed over the area.  If the thickness poses a real problem to you then you can thin the product with pure honey.  Some people choose to do this.

 

What should I use to apply Perrin’s Blend?

First, never use a cotton-tipped applicator.  Cotton fibers will stick to the ointment.  If you prefer not to use your finger, choose a firm applicator -- a wooden paddle or spoon handle is fine).  If Perrin’s Blend tends to stick to the applicator you may want to slightly oil the applicator before applying.

 

Can I get my money back if Perrin's Blend doesn't work?   What is your return policy?

We don't make claims that Perrin's Blend works for everyone. We relay the testimonies given to us by those who have had success with our products to our customers and those interested in using our products.  Results vary and so does the diligence and consistency of application of the customer,  but we have see more positive results than we ever imagined.  We rarely get a return based on the product not working.

     We consider returns on a case to case basis.  A processing fee ranging from 5%, if the shrink-wrap is not broken, up to 20% will apply.   We do not refund postage.   We do not give refunds after 90 days.   Each refund is given individual consideration.  

     Please understand that Perrin’s Blend is a thick, sticky, honey based, burgundy colored ointment that can stain clothes.  Please know before opening the container that it can be messy to use.    Also understand that results don’t usually occur in the first week.   Sometimes we receive a testimony of a skin disorder or abnormal growth being corrected within the first 10 days of application but most of the testimonials of successful results usually involve 3-6 weeks of diligent use.  Some results have taken longer as can be read in some of the testimonials posted on the our web site.

Is Perrin's Blend like Black Salve?

No it isn't.  Black Salve can be extremely invasive and painful, and can leave scars.  There is no ingredient in Perrin's Blend that is similar to blood root, the main ingredient in black slave.  In fact every ingredient in Perrin’s Blend can be bought at a health food store and taken internally. Perrin's Blend is non-invasive and for the most part, painless, and most of the time leaves no scars. There have been some reports of itching and/or tingling associated with using Perrin's Blend but nothing extreme.  In the case of Lichen Sclerosis there has been a burning sensation reported.

 

How long does one container last?

How many applications in one container depend on the size on your lesion.  We have recently had a health food store owner comment that "this stuff [Perrin's Blend] lasts forever".  If you are treating something the size of a pencil eraser then you will probably get 75 - 100 applications out of one 1 oz. container.

 

What are the ingredients in Perrin’s Blend?

The ingredients are:

Raw Honey (local honey directly from the beekeeper),

Grapeseed extract (extremely fine powder with no additives)

Natural Vitamin C powder (pure with no additives)

Natural Vitamin E powder (with natural stabilizers)

Alpha Lipoic Acid powder (pure with no additives)

N-acetyl-Cysteine [NAC]  powder (pure with no additives)

Rice Flour, Magnesium Stearate, Calcium Silicate (natural stabilizers).

All ingredients contain non toxic substance and are actually edible.   No chemicals or petroleum-based substances are ever added to any of Perrin’s products.

 

What is the shelf life of Perrin’s Blend?

We put a two-year expiration date on it, because we know one person had successful results after having it for at least this long.  Honey itself is a natural preservative.

 

Should Perrin’s Blend be refrigerated?

No, refrigeration is not necessary, or even good, for honey.  Store at room temperature in a cabinet to keep it in the dark as much as possible.  Keep it  dry.  Never add water.  Water can cause mold.

A Special Word from the Perrins concerning Lichen Sclerosis (dated 2009): 

 

Several have asked us to contact Roberta, the lady who gave the wonderful report of Perrin’s Blend and Crème Complete helping her Lichen Sclerosis, or to have her contact them.  We understand the reasons of those wanting to do this but in respect for our customers we must abide by a strict policy to never reveal any of their personal information or to contact them for favors.

  

When Roberta first called last year and spoke with Judy Perrin, Judy had never heard of the disease, Lichen Sclerosis.  As Roberta described the condition, Judy discouraged her from using Perrin’s Blend on such a tender area, and discouraged her from buying the products.  Months later, in April of 2009 Roberta contacted Judy once again, inquiring about making a purchase.  Although none of Perrin’s skin blends have been reported as causing a burning sensation on other areas, Judy told her to expect burning in this delicate and inflamed area.   Roberta knew the Perrins had no reports of any customers using their products for Lichen Sclerosis, yet she decided to try Perrin’s Blend and Crème Complete, agreeing to accept all responsibility for the outcome.   After she had such a miraculous report, Judy asked her if she would like to post it on the Web site.  She was ready to do so in order to help others.

 

Since we posted her testimony we know several with this disease have ordered, because we have received several reports from customers using these same two products (Perrin's Blend & Crème Complete) that Roberta ordered.

 

On the positive side:

 

One user told us that, though her condition hadn’t been biopsied, she had been told by two doctors that they believed she had Lichen Sclerosis.  Initially she experienced burning from the products, but after using them for a while all of her symptoms were gone and the doctor confirmed she doesn't have any signs of the disease.

 

Another customer called to tell us of her great improvement after only two days of using Perrin’s Blend and Crème Complete.  She said that the burning was no more than the burning of prescriptions she has used.  She said at first the burning from our products is strong, but after about ten minutes it subsides.  She told us that the area affected by L.S. feels better -- that the products seem to have given a protection against the terrible stinging she was undergoing while urinating, as well as relieving the awful itching she was experiencing.  Hopefully she will keep us updated.

 

On the negative side:

 

Some people are more sensitive to discomfort than others.  We have received reports from two customers who experienced too much burning and have discontinued use of the products in that area.  As mentioned in other places on the website, every ingredient in Perrin’s Blend can be purchased at a health food store and taken internally.  One of the main causes of the burning or stinging sensation is the Vitamin C.

Our goal is to help others, not to hurt them, which is why Judy discouraged Roberta and she didn't sell to Roberta the first time she called.  It was only after Roberta called again months later that Judy agreed to let her try it.  This is also why we willing share this information with you.   

 

We can't take responsibility for individual reaction.  If a person orders for Lichen Sclerosis, knowing all the pros and cons -- such as an a possible burning reaction, we can’t give refunds for this reason-- just as a pharmacist doesn't give refunds if a medicine doesn't work.  However, their purchases shouldn’t be a total waste, as they can always use the products for other things.
